Mombasa Shopping Mall — Underground Parking Waterproofing

Waterproofing of an underground parking structure for a large shopping mall in Nyali, Mombasa. The coastal location presented additional challenges due to high groundwater table and chloride-rich soil.

Ultraflex-2K was specified for its excellent resistance to chloride and sulphate ions. Lavatex RBE was used on external foundation walls. Bondaid S was incorporated into the screed mix for the parking deck surface.

The project covered approximately 4,800 m² of waterproofed surface area and was completed on schedule ahead of the mall opening.
